Our Trusts have a long history of partnership, with our Chief Executive, Karen James OBE, and several of our Executive Directors sitting across both Boards. Our collaborative approach is driven by our shared commitment to enhancing patient care, improving health outcomes, and ensuring the sustainability of our services for the benefit of our staff and the patients and the neighbouring communities we serve. Working together has already provided fantastic opportunities to harness our strengths, share innovation, and drive efficiencies across Stockport, Tameside, and Glossop as well as enhance our wider contribution at system level.

The appointment of our first Joint Chair demonstrates our intent to bring our Boards and governance closer together; reducing duplication and creating a shared vision across our organisations for the benefit of our staff and the communities we serve.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build upon strong foundations. As our first Joint Chair, you will be at the forefront of innovation and collaboration; supporting our integrated approach to community and acute healthcare for our local populations. Working closely with our Joint Chief Executive, our new Chair will have the opportunity to connect our Boards and Councils of Governors; enhancing our governance structures to support our direction of travel.
